Embers - Poem

The embers of your prayers

lit the way

As if to say

that everything would be okay

And if it’s not

And you’ve forgot

Then let those embers

sit with you

in the dark

And when you sleep

as the moon kisses your eyelids

May you peak into your holyness

And remember

your own preciousness

Your own gifts

And as you rest

Let the dreams dance

and put a show

Reminding you

That there is beauty

where the light does not go

Where the darkness sits

and plays within it’s own abyss

And as a new day comes

And all thats been

comes undone

May you weave that tapestry of love

with the madness of what life has become

knowing that nothing is truly lost or done

but expanded

into the limitless ONE

So let that kiss

from the Universe

rest on your lips

soaking in the sweetness

That both the light and the dark

Holds a gift

The embers of your prayers

Lit the way

As if to say

That everything would be okay

And if its not

And you’ve forgot

Then let those embers

sit with you

In the dark
